Mimo
★ 4.9 · 34 reviews Brighton Opened 21 November 2025
Sixty-plus makers, one proudly queer Brighton shop
Every print, sticker, zine and ceramic piece on Mimo's shelves is labeled with the maker's name, not folded into a house brand. More than 60 independent artists and small businesses fill the shopfront at 46 Sydney Street, started by Maya and Yan after a run selling from a stall in Brighton Open Market.
The space doubles as a pottery workshop studio, and the owners lean into their queer identity. More than one local guide has called Mimo the gayest shop in Brighton.
Good to know
- There are three steps up to the front door.
- They run pottery workshops in the shop, dates go up on their Instagram.
