Sebb's

Fire cooking, wine on tap, and vinyl DJs in a red-brick basement
Sebb's opened on Miller Street in Merchant City on 25 November 2024, set in a vaulted red-brick basement beneath Margo. Same team, Scoop Restaurant Group, who also run Ox and Finch and Ka Pao. The name comes from Sixty Eight Basement Bar, a nod to the Miller Street address.
The kitchen cooks over fire, the cocktail list gets its own attention, and wine comes on tap as well as by the bottle. DJs rotate through on vinyl, playing into the night through the room's sound system. Less than a year after opening, Sebb's landed in the Michelin Guide in September 2025, a quick payoff the team called a 'leap of faith'.

Good variety of food. The dishes have a mix of your usual and then something a bit different. Everything was very tasty. Meatballs, pork belly and pakora standouts. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice ambience. Easy to get to as it is in central Glasgow. Parking might not be too close unless you want to pay a premium. Highly recommended.

Highly recommended! I loved everything about this place—from the location to the cocktails and the food. The signature cocktails are on another level, and every dish we tried was equally impressive. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great dining experience. I did not have time to take pictures 😑

A great spot to stop for a meal in the heart of Glasgow. The sharing plates are all delicious and there are a very wide range of options. The cocktail list is similarly broad and inviting. And the staff were all very friendly and helpful.

Food was excellent here. The plates were excellent for sharing: please get the sausage, barbecued squid and prawns, grilled pita with the fancy dip. Even the drink was fancy: Chai Tai. This was great first entry into Glasgow’s food scene. The music was loud and vibing too. Servers gave excellent recommendations! So if you’re in a pickle, choose thjs !

Really enjoyed our lunch here. We had some of the frozen cocktails and oysters to start. Absolutely delicious. The servers are all lovely and the service was great. It’s a very cool place and love the open kitchen creates a more lively atmosphere. Will definitely be back
