Kilmac's

A moody Irish cocktail den with Bishop Arts' biggest patio
Dark, dim-lit and built for craft cocktails rather than a sports-bar crowd, Kilmac's sits right next to sister bar Old Monk on West Davis Street. Order pizza, grab a proper cocktail, and take it outside to one of the largest patios in the neighborhood.
Bishop Arts waited months for this one after construction delays pushed the opening past its original fall 2025 target. It's evenings only, Wednesday through Sunday from 5 PM.

So far, I've been to Kilmac's twice, and both visits were for watch parties. Overall, the food and drinks have been good, and I really like the atmosphere and aesthetic of the place. Unfortunately, my most recent visit was disappointing because of the service from the food trailer. I ordered a pizza and checked on it about 30 minutes later. I was told it wasn't ready yet. The staff member then told me she would personally bring it to me, so I wouldn't need to keep coming back to check. I even told her exactly where I would be sitting—in the red lawn chairs. After waiting at least another 30 minutes, I still hadn't received my food, so I went back to the trailer to ask about it. She told me she had been looking for me but couldn't find me, which didn't make much sense considering I had told her where I'd be, and the venue isn't that large. When I finally got my pizza, it was cold. Waiting over an hour for food is frustrating enough, but receiving it cold made the experience even more disappointing. At the very least, I think some type of refund, discount, or offer to remake the pizza would have been an appropriate way to handle the situation. I still think Kilmac's has a great atmosphere and good food, but I hope they improve their communication and service during busy events so other customers don't have the same experience.

This is my favorite bar in Bishop Arts. The decor is moody and thoughtfully designed. The service is excellent! We visited on a Friday night and there was an ample amount of space to sit. Kilmacs is underrated - it's far superior to Atlas and Bar Eden. I appreciate the usage of real candles and warm incandescent fixtures. The owner knows how to decorate!

Really cool, trendy spot. The pizzas are a solid 4, 3 1/2 if it wasn't for being overcooked to where the crust is inedible. Prices are a little high. Take my word for it and don't order the antipasto or, if you do you can deduct it from the gratuity, that is if 15% hasn't already been added. Other than that it's a chill spot to have a few drinks when theres nothing else going on.

Jacob and Avery omg! The best bartenders and they can literally make anything you want! The atmosphere is amazing and dimly lit if that’s the vibe you’re looking for! There’s also a similar “truck yard” vibe outside. My new favorite place!
