Walkers'

★ 4.4 · 70 reviews Dallas Opened 19 June 2026

Cafe by day, wine bar by night, market all the time

Walkers' packs three ideas into one room on Lower Greenville: a morning coffee stop, a dinner-service wine bar, and a market where the bottles on the shelves are the same ones on the tables. Pick a wine with your meal, then buy the bottle to take home.

It's a sibling-owned project designed by Kevin Klein, betting that a strip known for bars and late-night food has room for somewhere you'd actually stop by in the afternoon too.

I’m looking forward to coming back once they’ve had a little more time to settle in. The atmosphere is beautiful, and it’s such a unique addition to East Dallas. The wine list is excellent, the cocktails are creative, and you can tell a lot of thought went into the overall concept. I stopped in for drinks with friends, so I’m excited to come back for a full dinner and to try lunch as well. The onion rings were the standout of the evening. The cheese plate was delicious, though I was surprised it was served without crackers or any accompaniments. My only other feedback is that I’d love to see the menu expand a bit, and the wine pours felt a little small for the price. Overall, it’s a promising new spot, and I’m looking forward to seeing it evolve.

Walker’s is such a cute space, and I really wanted to love it since it’s right down the street from us. The interior is beautifully designed, the bar area is great, and it has a fun, energetic atmosphere. A few things keep it from being an immediate favorite of ours. The tables are packed very close together. Even as a relatively small person, I was nervous about squeezing out of our booth without bumping the table next to us. It definitely creates a lively atmosphere, but you can hear every conversation around you, and it gets quite loud. I wouldn’t recommend it for anyone looking for an intimate dinner or for those who have trouble hearing. We ordered the milk punch and an espresso martini. The milk punch tasted oddly watered down, which surprised us because we’ve had great versions of the drink in many places. Something was off about this one relative to the many excellent milk punches we’ve had. My espresso martini was good, but I couldn’t taste any of the banana mentioned on the menu. I also wish there were a few more approachable by-the-glass wine options. One of the two sparkling wines by the glass was $25, despite the bottle retailing for around $32. I understand restaurant markups are part of dining out, but for a place that also presents itself as a neighborhood market and sandwich shop, I expected a few more options in the $15-20 range for someone who just wants to stop in for a glass after work. The food was overall very good! The cherry tomatoes with lemon curd were incredibly fresh and unique, and the corn carbonara was another standout with a generous amount of pancetta. The burger was also delicious and came with excellent fries, though $30 felt a bit high given that it was surprisingly small (about the size of my palm, and I have small hands). For dessert, we had the peaches and cream. It was perfectly pleasant, but it should be called “half a peach and cream” - it’s essentially half a fresh peach with a lightly sweet cream component. We found it forgettable compared to other fresh fruit-based deserts we have had in Dallas. Service started out very warm and enthusiastic but felt a bit more transactional by the end of the meal. Our server wasn’t rude by any means, but the experience felt slightly inconsistent, he didn’t thank us at the end for coming in. It was super busy so I’m sure he was distracted. Overall, I still think Walker’s is a fun addition to the neighborhood. The space is cute, the food has some real highlights, and I can absolutely see it becoming a great spot to sit at the bar, enjoy a glass of wine, and people-watch. I just think there are a few details that could be refined to better match the hype.

We had been once for wine at the wine bar but this was our first time coming for dinner. We came with our 15 month old and we were pleasantly surprised to see the table set up with a nice hook on high chair ready for us; and the table was set with our child in mind with knives and candles out of reach. It’s a small gesture but means so much to us as parents and shows they really are thinking of the small details for guests. We had cocktails, a bottle of cava, peach (missed the photo), corn and crab gnocchi, halibut, pork jowl, and chocolate cake and o.m.g. Every dish was a 10/10 and it was the perfect amount of food for 2. The wine tasted like it should have been worth twice what is being charged. A testament to the wine director’s skill, knowledge, and wine selection. You can tell so much love and dedication went into this place. We are already planning our next visit. If there are no reservations available there is a decent sized bar that I believe you can attempt walking in at. (I will be dreaming of that corn gnocchi for weeks)

10/10 sandies. Weren’t there in the rush but we could have been in and out with a glass of wine in 30-45 minutes if we wanted. Beautiful decor. Great music. Friendly staff.
