Basque cheesecake gone ube, pandan, Thai tea

The cheesecake here is Basque style, burnt on top the way it should be. That part's classic.

The flavours aren't. Ube, pandan, Thai tea and sweet basil show up on the menu, and on Hester Street that feels more right than a plain vanilla slice would.

Accidentally stumbled upon this Spanish-inspired cheesecake shop, and I'm so glad we did! The interior is quaint, cozy, and incredibly serene. I especially loved the comfortable lounge chairs, and even the self-serve condiment cart was beautifully decorated with water and other essentials. It's the kind of place that invites you to slow down and relax for a bit. One thing that really impressed me was that they let you sample the different cheesecake flavors before deciding. It's such a thoughtful touch and made choosing much easier. I ended up getting the **Traditional** cheesecake, which reminded me of a smooth vanilla bean cream—light, creamy, and not overly sweet. We also tried the **Pandan** flavor, and that was my favorite. It had a wonderful balance where you could taste both the fragrant pandan and the rich, cheesy flavor without either overpowering the other. I'm really glad we stumbled upon this hidden gem! Next time, I'd love to come back and try one of their drinks since they offer both tea and coffee options. IG: Jubes111

the best cheesecakes in chinatown!!! their basque cheesecakes are creamy, light and delicious and there are so many flavors to choose from. every time they come out with a new flavor it becomes my favorite but my must try’s are: ube, pandan, guava, mango sticky rice (if they have), and black sesame. their drinks are amazing too and they source the freshest ingredients. i’m obsessed with their coconut cloud series, refreshing and creamy.

The sweetest owners I came on a different schedule day and ended up waiting more than an hour for the store to open and the owners were so so sweet about it that I felt like I should apologize instead. The store is only a few months old but they are nailing it! I came for the mango sticky rice cheesecake with a super light mochi layer. This tbh was my least favorite as it was too sweet for me. The other cheesecakes though I sampled were amazing I ended up buying two others to take home to freeze, but I ended up eating it all over the weekend. Try interesting flavors like sweet basil and other lovely Asian flavors like ube and taro and black sesame. Don’t sleep on their drinks either - they’re not too sweet and refreshing.

I was so happy to discover this shop on Google Maps in my continuing search for Vietnamese cà phê. Not only does the store brew each cup fresh using a phin, they have cà phê muôi and many other favorites that aren’t as easy to find here as they are in Vn. The cheesecakes were an unexpectedly delicious surprise on top of the coffee, and I really enjoyed hearing the owner talk about where they source their beans and other ingredients. I’m sure it’s just a matter of time before the lines are around the block, so try it while you can.

This adorable store has the best cheesecake championing Asian flavors. From the moment you walk in through the door you can enjoy how honey it is. It’s hard not to be enveloped in the warmth and care taken with every detail of the store. Be sure to ask for samples of the cheesecake even though it does make it tough to choose just one. Got the chance to try the black sesame, guava, espresso, matcha, vanilla, thai tea, and sweet potato. Ended up ordering the sweet potato. The hostess of this bakery is extremely friendly. Appreciated her energy welcoming us into the space. This spot is cute with seating lining the walls and low tables where your sweet treats are served. Will definitely be back!
