The Granger Hotel
San Diego Opened 26 November 2024
San Diego's first Design Hotels stay, in the Gaslamp
The Granger is San Diego's first Design Hotels property, the Marriott-affiliated design collection. Original 1904 details stayed in place. The 96 rooms run eclectic. Two bars and restaurants sit downstairs on Fifth Avenue, in the Gaslamp Quarter.
The building went up in 1904 for silver-mine millionaire Ralph Granger. It later held a bank, law offices and animals for the young city zoo. The Mansour family spent years restoring it before opening in November 2024.
Good to know
- Breakfast is included in the rate, which is rare at this level.
- With 96 rooms it books out fast on Petco Park game and convention weekends.
