Pizza takes over the corner Basic held for twenty years

Far Corner opened on 27 March 2025 at 410 Tenth Avenue, taking over East Village's pizza corner after Basic Bar + Kitchen had held it for nearly two decades.

Following that act is a hard brief, and the kitchen leans into it instead of dodging it. Thin, blistered, sold whole. The bar stays busy on Padres nights.

Good proper thin pizza, albeit a bit too greasy. The pizza is what makes it 4 rather than 3 stars though, so pretty good. Tried several, meat ones better than veg, simple margherita probably the best of the lot to be honest. Far too noisy and dark for my liking, but realize it appeals to others and you can't please everyone. Waiter/owner tried to be as helpful as possible.

Jason was so accommodating and personable. A genuine manager. Tonya was so attentive and just made drinks with love. Also. they got a rush and handled it ao gracefully. Love it, can’t wait to come back specially during baseball season! Thank you!

First time at this spot right across from petco park. The pizza and wings are so delicious I left craving for more. Jason the manager was very hospitable and accommodating. Tonya made some exceptional drinks and was very attentive.

Pizza is truly good. Also give those shakshuka pizza bite things a try. They need to figure out how to do lunch specials with slices, etc. Not sure they'll survive the Padres off season when you can only get a whole pie.

We had an early dinner before the Savannah Banana’s game. We’ve been meaning to eat here since they opened. I got the Caprese sandwhich-flavorful and loved the balsamic drizzle. My husband got the Caesar sandwich, sub ranch-so good. We split the pizza dough cinnamon/sugar/vanilla drizzle dessert. Wow! We sat the bar and got served quickly.
