Plant-filled lobby bar at Hotel Bardo
Green light, jungly plants, and a room that somehow works as well for a laptop and coffee at 10am as it does for cocktails at 10pm. That's The Green Room, tucked into Hotel Bardo's lobby south of downtown.
Light bites and drinks carry it into the evening, and the plant-lined space is the moodiest room in a hotel built around design. Come for the coffee, stay for the cocktails.

As the Green Room acts as the hotel lobby, I found it lacking in any business amenities like desks or outlets. It's basically just a bar serving as the whole indoor lobby.

I had one of the most original drinks I have ever tasted! It was called “On You Maybe”. I am still thinking about it!

Such a great experience in the Green Room! The ambiance is perfect, and both the drinks and food are delicious. As a local, it’s a great place to meet friends for a drink.

The 1960s design is very unique. The female bartender took a while to not make our drink even though we were the only ones at the bar. She then asked a young man to make our drinks. He did and they were fine. Overpriced for sure, but we expected that for quality drinks. We promptly left after. We weren't interested in spending time with a bartender that hates her guests. The young gent was nice though.

The Green Room inside the Bardo Hotel is a great find. Stylish, relaxed atmosphere with bartenders who really know their craft. We ordered the Spy vs Spy with tequila, elderflower, and celery — creative and beautifully balanced — and also the verjus lemon and rosemary non-alcoholic drink, which was just as thoughtful and refreshing. Love that they put real care into their NA options too. Ideal for date night or a laid-back evening drink. We’ll definitely be back.
