A women's boutique in Redcliffe Quay, built for locals, not cruise ships

Skip the duty-free racks. In a courtyard full of souvenir stalls, C's Closet sells dresses, sets, swimwear, bags and accessories actually priced for Antiguans dressing for a weekend out, not passengers on a stopover.

Racks turn over fast enough that regulars check back weekly, and the shop also delivers around the island within a day if you order online. Find it a few doors down from the galleries at the top of the quay, next to its menswear counterpart across the courtyard.

Good to know

• Open Monday to Saturday, roughly 9am to 6pm; they deliver around the island within 24 hours.
• Sizes go up to XL, which is not a given in the quay's other clothing shops.
