Gorgeous local spot, the owner operator is so nice, friendly and fun vibe for a Sunday sesh, parking available at the back, BYO food or order from the Turkish restaurant next door

Ruby’s Wine Shop is an absolute gem and, frankly, a dangerous place to live near if you possess both a wine fridge and questionable self-control. The staff are genuinely incredible. They are warm, knowledgeable, never pretentious, and somehow manage to recommend wines that are consistently brilliant. I had absolutely no hesitation restocking my wine fridge and cabinet for the month based entirely on their suggestions because, at this point, they have earned my complete and possibly financially irresponsible trust. Their range is exceptional, with a beautiful mix of imported European wines and outstanding Australian bottles. Whether you are a serious wine enthusiast or simply someone who knows they enjoy drinking lovely things, this team really knows their stuff and will help you find something special without making you feel like you need a sommelier qualification to enter the shop…. And then there is Ruby, the charming little namesake and quite possibly the greatest sales strategy ever employed by a small business. Come for the wine, stay because an adorable dog has emotionally manipulated you into buying another bottle. I cannot recommend Ruby’s Wine Shop highly enough. Brilliant wine, wonderful people, exceptional service and a puppy. Honestly, what more could Brisbane ask for? These are exactly the kinds of local businesses that deserve to be supported, celebrated and kept extremely busy.

Came for one glass… (let’s be honest it’s never one) somehow stayed for the charcuterie. 🍷🧀 Ruby’s Wine Shop is dangerously cute, the wine list never misses, and the make-your-own charcuterie board is honestly elite. From playing card games, to getting to pat all the doggies that come in consider this your sign to go… 🤍

Wish I could give Ruby’s 10/5 stars!! An incredible variety of wines from many regions! Can’t believe this hidden gem is right here in Albion, very conveniently located on Sandgate road! Tamara (the owner) is not only knowledgeable but so friendly and makes every visit so personal and fun and her helper Ruby is just too cute! Love the variety of wines always on rotation (very reasonably priced per glass and LOVE that corkage price is visible on every bottle). Love the snacks/nibbles available in store. Lots of board game on hand and the communal table give such a cozy atmosphere! Thank you to the whole team at Ruby’s ❤️

You know it’s a good wine bar when a quick glass turns into a long afternoon, snacks, and a couple of bottles coming home with you. Fantastic wines, constantly rotating selections, and a warm, welcoming vibe. Bonus points for Ruby (dog), who may just be the cutest member of staff ever.
