Harbour Lights Barbados

By day a Carlisle Bay beach club, by night one of Bridgetown's biggest nightclubs
Harbour Lights sits right on Bay Street and runs two different shifts. Mornings and afternoons it's loungers, umbrellas, and turtles cruising close enough to shore that swimmers end up beside them without trying. Order a rum punch, claim a spot near the water, stay till the light turns gold.
Then the crowd turns over. By night it's one of Bridgetown's better-known nightclubs, and on select evenings there's a Caribbean dinner show that's been running long enough to draw its own separate following. Close enough to downtown to pull cruise-ship passengers filling an afternoon and locals who show up once the show starts.

We spent 6 days in Barbados and 3 of the days we came to Harbour Lights for our beach days. We contemplated going to other beach clubs but we knew we loved this place. The food was great for the price, the drinks were delicious, the bathrooms were clean and the staff was very nice and for 25$ USD you could reserve a chair and umbrella in the front row. The beach was obviously the best part and it was gorgeous. What more could you ask for in a beach day.

We had such a great time! from pick up to drop off, everything was excellent! The foood and drinks were delicious and the show was spectacular! The cast were so energetic and fun. We spent a lot of time on the dance floor. We love the whole Island beach vibe. Highly recommend this EXTRAVAGANZA!

The location and amenities at Harbour Lights are nice, with clean bathrooms and showers available. We paid $12.50 per person for three of us (including my 9-year-old son), which advertised that chairs and umbrellas were included. However, what they don’t tell you is that most of the prime seating front rows and even second and third rows are already “reserved.” Even if you arrive early, you’ll find that the best spots require an additional $25. This was frustrating because getting there early was important to us, and it felt misleading to have to pay extra after already paying for entry. Because they were not upfront about the lounge chair pricing, I can only give this place 3 stars. I would have been willing to pay the extra amount if it had been clearly explained ahead of time, rather than being surprised once we arrived and feeling like we had no real choice if we wanted a good spot near the front. Food prices were typical for a tourist spot. If you’re looking for better value and more authentic options, I recommend using the public beach entrance nearby, where you can find local vendors with tastier and more affordable food. Overall, if you’re trying to save money, you’re better off entering through the public access point, renting chairs there, and enjoying the same beach without the added costs. There’s even a public restroom available.

We had a great experience at Harbour lights! The location is beautiful and the overall atmosphere is very pleasant. The service was friendly and the staff were welcoming. The only point that could be improved is the waiting time for lunch. We waited more than an hour after ordering before the food arrived, even though the restaurant was not particularly busy. Aside from that, everything was very good and we enjoyed our time there.

Easy to get to and from cruise ship. The cabs are $5 each way per person. Plenty of cabs to bring you back whenever you are ready. Soft clean sand and plenty of help for getting drinks or food. Snorkeling is easy 100 yards of the beach if interested
