Brunch that gets weird, then turns into a bar by midnight
Order eggs at noon, a cocktail after dark, same table both times. Chora's brunch menu on Rua Oliveira Fausto takes more chances than the usual avocado toast lineup, and nobody rushes you out once the sun drops.
The room stays open to 1am Thursday through Saturday, sliding from breakfast plates to bar crowd without changing the lighting.

Benedict eggs cold ? I never saw that, it was not specified in the menu. The space is dark and miss light. Overrated !

Great cafe for brunch and try out different kinds of matcha. The layout is beautiful and they have a super nice bar in the middle of the whole venue.

I come to Chora every time I’m in Rio — and it’s one of the places I look forward to the most Sometimes it’s for the healthy, fresh food Sometimes for the drinks (their coffee, matcha, and cocktails are all genuinely great) And sometimes just to sit with my laptop and spend a quiet hour working But what really makes this place special is the atmosphere the team creates. There’s a warmth here that’s hard to fake — the kind that makes you slow down, stay longer than you planned, and want to come back the next day Places like this are the ones you keep returning to again and again, the ones that quietly become part of your routine in a city that isn’t home 🧡

Amazing brunch here, great service and the best matcha latte I have had in Brazil! The server was so kind and lovely also. I will be back for sure when I come back to Rio!
