Tinned fish, skewers and cachaça done right
Skip the beach bars and head for Prado Júnior instead, a street nobody usually tells you to visit. Three bartenders run this one on tinned fish, things on sticks, and Brazilian spirits treated like they deserve real cocktails, not just caipirinhas.
Cachaça gets the serious treatment here, mixed with the same care you'd expect from a whiskey bar. Craft beer is around too, for whenever cachaça isn't the plan.

The beer was extremely cold, the 600ml Pure Gold, and the Kaol was very tasty. The Trio Sacanagem, however, was disappointing; I expected much more given the hype surrounding the place. The biggest problem was the service. The bill came to R$ 212 for two main courses, an appetizer, and two beers, already including the absurd 12% service charge. We paid normally, went to the bathroom, and when we were almost at the corner, a waiter came running after us asking if we had paid the bill. It was a completely unnecessary embarrassment. He could have simply confirmed with the other waiter, who had received the payment. Overall, the food is good, but it doesn't live up to expectations. The service, unfortunately, needs significant improvement.

Extremely delicious food! At La Quintela, the cassava was cooked to perfection with clarified butter, the beef was perfectly cooked, and the egg yolk was just perfect. It's mouthwatering!

Birosca Bar, a new spot in Copacabana, on Prado Júnior street. Excellent!! Very tasty appetizers, pork belly, beef, sausage, octopus, and various cold cuts. Super friendly service, beers at excellent prices, and pleasant music! Highly recommended!

Conserva Bar deserves top marks. It's a place with great food options, both for full meals and snacks. The beer is always very cold, and the drinks are wonderful and tasty. I love Benza. It's an excellent choice for after the beach, for lunch, or to enjoy a bar at night. I liked the place so much that I celebrated my birthday there, and the whole team was incredible in their service. I really like it and recommend it. Besides everything else, it's close to the subway, which makes it much easier. Great option after the beach or for a pre-samba party.
