Wild-ferment beer meets natural wine on Rua das Laranjeiras

The beer list is the surprise at this wine bar: bottles fermented with wild yeast sitting next to a natural wine selection, plus a few house-mixed drinks. The kitchen works backwards from the glass, building dishes to match what's being poured.

It runs lunch and dinner service. Order a glass of the spontaneous ferment beer just to taste what it does differently from anything else on Rua das Laranjeiras.

It's my favorite restaurant in Rio. Everything they make there is extremely delicious, and the orange wine they were serving the last few times was the best I've ever had. The portions are small, so it's not cheap, but it's not ridiculously expensive either, and it's WORTH EVERY PENNY. You'll only dislike it if you have a childish palate. Besides that, the staff are all lovely and kind, and the service is excellent. I couldn't recommend it enough! ❤️

Great find in Laranjeiras. Very tasty dishes, especially the fish crudo and the rib-stuffed pasta. A very good selection of coffees as well.

This is such a gem - we were wandering down the street after Christ the Redeemer, and decided to pop in for a coffee and a snack - we are so glad we did! The food was SO delicious (amazing mix of flavours) and the coffee was great (barrister made and they have non-dairy milk). The service was fantastic, the staff were lovely from the minute we paused to look at the menu. We don’t speak Portuguese (and normally rely upon GoogleTranslate) however the staff kindly spoke with us in English. Mari was very kind and attentive, and as an added bonus, gave us excellent travel advice for our next stop in Paraty. There is also great wifi which was helpful since we have limited data on our travel sim. We highly recommend this restaurant!

A cute and cosy place in Laranjeiras, food is amazing and the staff really friendly, try their Basque cheesecake, it's the best ! Definitely will come again !

We had the best experience at Pressa on our trip to Rio. They appeared to be quite popular but the staff got us a table quicker than we anticipated. Although our portuguese is quite terrible, the staff were so kind and even spoke english! The location, service, food, drinks and desserts were all incredible. I’ll be back to visit Pressa on my next trip to Rio and would recommend it to any other people traveling!!
