Straightforward espresso on a street built for cars
16th Avenue NE moves traffic more than pedestrians, so most of Coral Cafe's regulars walk over from the residential blocks right behind it. Espresso is straightforward and the pastry case is decent, nothing chasing a trend.
The morning rush clears fast and then it goes quiet. It is the kind of quiet built for a coffee and nothing else, on a stretch better known for driving through than stopping in.

This cafe is so cute and fun! The aquariums were amazing and my family enjoyed checking out all the sea life. We visited for Ice Cream Fest YYC and their entry was so delicious! It had fun details and was super tasty. The coffee was also delish! The staff were friendly, kind, and helpful. The cafe is very clean and has an area great for little ones. My kids are 10+ and the absolutely loved this place. We will be back for sure.

Loved our visit to Coral Cafe. Delicious sandwiches (smoked salmon bagel and BEC croissant were divine), Foothills ice cream, and the best fresh mojito ever. Super refreshing on a hot day. The kids loved the aquariums and watching all the fish and creatures. There is a huge hermit crab and axolotl. I loved the fish that were coloured like a pack of Nerds. Highly recommend!! If coming from the west, park on Centre A Street; if coming from the east, park on 1st Street or 15th Ave. There is a security guard in the Peter’s lot so that isn’t an option.

Amazing! Love the atmosphere with the aquariums and overall decor. The hot beef pastrami croissant had lots in it, and the honey cucumber lemonade was super refreshing and not sugary. My only regret is that I live far from it and rarely ever come this way. What a cute and unique place!

This place was wonderful. Food and drinks were amazing. The fish tanks were awesome. A bit pricey, but I will definitely be back. Loved it.

Great place to bring kids. The fish tanks are a wonderful treat for all ages. Make sure you spot the crab, he is quite something. Staff are very friendly, kind and polite. I did not eat, had a London fog and it was great. Love the outdoors patio, the sand play spot is great for children. Strongly recommend for grandparents to bring their grandchildren. Also the place is exceptionally clean.
