Dobré Café

A central European pastry case on the west side
Calgary's west side has plenty of coffee and not much central European pastry, a gap Dobré fills from a corner unit on 33rd Street SW in Killarney. The case leans toward the kind of baking that shows up more in Prague than in Calgary.
It reads as a residential corner shop rather than a destination, and that is exactly its appeal. Neighbours drop in on the way past rather than making a trip of it.

The coffee was delicious, presentation was lovely, and the staff are very friendly. I also indulged in a very nice blueberry danish. I love that this shop is both in the local library and accessible through the train and bus station. I think Calgary needs more shops like this in our transit hubs!

Tried Dobré Café yesterday and honestly the matcha was DELICIOUS 🍵 One thing I really liked is the location being able to stop for a drink on the way to the library or while commuting makes it super convenient. The vibe feels calm and cozy, and they also have unique drinks like their moringa lattes Definitely a nice local coffee spot to try in Calgary.
