Downtown Edmonton's roastery counter with room to actually sit

The pastry case is the tell: get here early or watch it thin out before closing. Bar Oro roasts its own coffee behind the counter and bakes its pastries in-house, European café style, right on Jasper Avenue.

It's the sister spot to Ayco Cafe across the street, same ownership, same block. Doors open at 7am on weekdays, and unlike most downtown coffee counters, there's actual lounge seating to linger in.
