The hidden bar behind Eloise, built around a nitro espresso martini

Find the unmarked door behind Eloise's dining room on The Esplanade and you're in. Bar Cart is small, dark and doesn't try to be anything but a cocktail room.

The nitro espresso martini is the reason people come, poured with a head on it like a stout. Order it late and it stops being dessert. It becomes the main event.

Decided to go bar hopping one weekday and came across this new speakeasy! Bar Cart had a warm, cozy vibe, and was a perfect spot for dates or GNOs :) We walked in, and the bartender greeted us and said we could sit anywhere we like. Our server promptly came by with the menus ^^ Bar Cart shared the same kitchen as Eloise next door. Our server offered that we could order from the Eloise menu, which was super nice! We absolutely adored the scallop appetizer dish, and also opt in for side of olives, and fries. We tried a few cocktails, and I ended up really liking the coffee flavoured one :)

Absolutely love this little hidden gem of a bar. Walked in for the 1st time and didn't know what to order so the bartender invented a special tequila based drink for me (I love tequila) and even named it after me (The Yuri). Order it next time you are here, and I promise you won't be disappointed.

Dimly lit speakeasy inside Eloise. Plush seating. Lovely cocktails. The bartenders can do custom concoctions as well.

Hidden gem in the city. Great atmosphere. Went on a weds. Will be back. Great for date night and open til 2am. Good for the center end of the city to get away from king and Ossington areas.

I have been to Bar Cart a few times now, most recently after a birthday dinner in Eloise, and as always had a lovely time! The space is really cool, drinks are excellent, food is delicious (I’m obsessed with the cheese bread), service is attentive, over all a really great experience! Definitely recommend!
