A jungle-green café steps from the AGO
Grab a book and disappear into the plants. Cafe Forêt's room is so heavily green it feels more like a greenhouse than a café, and it sits close enough to the AGO and the university that gallery staff and students both claim it on weekdays.
Great for reading solo with a coffee. Skip it at 3pm if you want quiet, that's peak chatter hour.

Really enjoyed this café! The coffee was delicious, and the atmosphere was lovely and relaxing. Such a nice place to sit and enjoy a drink. Definitely worth a visit!

Delicious cakes. The sandwich was very good but the sliced tomato made the top bread a bit soggy (I did purchase the sandwich late in the day). Very prompt service. It's on the second floor. I would visit again.

I come here all the time to get the iced strawberry matcha or iced mocha and a treat! My favourite is the almond croissant or the pistachio croissant both are so yum! The vibes in here are very aesthetic and cute . It’s not super busy unless you come on a weekend otherwise a great spot to study or work solo or with friends.

Definitely a go-to spot for a remote work day or study session. Lots of seating and plugs available for workers and students alike. I came here on a Friday morning and there were plenty of seats and tables available. They have a variety of seating available, including round tables, square tables, and bar seating available for a single, pairs, or even small groups. As for their food and drink, I ordered an iced strawberry hojicha latte, turkey sandwich, and carrot cake. They were delicious and kept me fully entire stay. I spent under $30 for all that. A bit on the expensive side, but the carrot cake made it worth it. Both price and taste were great. As for the strawberry hojicha latte, the flavour was a good balance between the roasted matcha and sweet strawberry. The staff were polite and and answered the questions I had. I appreciated the cleanliness of the space and lots of natural light coming in through the windows all around. On another note, I noticed they had a 2-hour sitting limit. While I appreciate the honesty about seating time, I don't find it realistic especially if they aren't super busy. Not sure how long they will enforce this over the summer, but I do see it being necessary during the academic school year. I hope to come back again soon to try other food and drink items!

Amazing working space. They have a lovely selection of drinks and food. The cafe is very cute, great vibe too. I really recommend their strawberry hojicha! I came back for it juste before leaving Toronto because it was so delicious!
