Weekday mornings on this stretch of Queen West are chaotic, right across from Nathan Phillips Square. Weekends, the whole pocket empties out. Dual Citizen treats coffee as the main event, food as an afterthought.

Show up after ten on a Saturday and you'll get a window table with no wait, which isn't true anywhere else on this block.

Dual Citizen is a beautiful hidden gem with amazing views, a peaceful atmosphere, and plenty of space to work or relax. The food was good—I paid about $13 for fries—and the menu is always available , the location and ambience make it worth visiting. ⭐ Food: 9/10 ⭐ View: 10/10 ⭐ Workspace: 9/10 ⭐ Overall: 9.5/10

The feelings you get at Dual Citizen are likely inevitably going to be tied to the surrounding atmosphere, owing to it being embedded in the hotel’s large open lobby. This can be a good thing if you want to feel connected to the lobby, but I suspect in most cases diners wish they could separate the two. Nevertheless, my breakfast was quite hearty and the service excellent and attentive.

Overrated. Their tuna poke bowl is famous but not as expected. The rice is undercooked and too much vinegar. The matcha is too bitter n less milk. The only good thing is the pasta. Actually surprising, rlly good. Environment n service is good and nice. Good for study or work js a bit slow.

Great ambiance. Not too loud, so great for meetings and reunions. I would not go on date as this is located in a common area of the hotel located in lobby. But overall great place to hang out. They also have a bar, great food. Especially loved their bear on tap and New York style pizza.
