A family café and bakery built around brunch, on Minoritská

Café Placzek sits on Minoritská in Brno's old town, run by the same family that bakes everything on site. Big windows open onto the historic street, and the room mixes design details with the feel of a neighborhood café.

Coffee and cake run from morning to evening, with brunch as the main event. On weekends the brunch menu stretches into the afternoon.

We were looking for a place with pancakes and found this one in the center. Pancakes were fine, but Benedict Maison I got had the worst brioche I ever had. It was unbeatable. So do not recommend.

Fantastic, generous breakfast, with fast and friendly service in a great location. The plate presentation is tasteful and well arranged. It is not the cheapest place, but considering the high-quality ingredients used, that is no surprise. I wholeheartedly recommend this place.

Stopped by for breakfast Sunday morning, place was a little busy but not completely full. Everything was fast. Breakfast - tried Eggs Benedict in the basic version, they also have a nice selection of other breakfast meals, along with sweet stuff. The food was - okay. A big portion, well made eggs, hollandaise sauce was a bit bland. The espresso was also okay. It would be a good 4 star breakfast option for you to enjoy. BUT i have to highlight the service - both staff members I met were super professional, polite and heartwarmingly welcoming at the same time. Definitely above expectations, go there!

I came to this place unplanned but it was a great experience. Different breakfast options - next time I will come to try goat cheese for sure! Polite and friendly staff, both cash and card payments are accepted. Location is in the city centre, just 5-6 minutes from the main train station. Great place to have a healthy breakfast.
