A basement shop for Denmark's tiniest publishers

Look for the door that leads down, not in. Mikrolit sits in a basement unit on Trøjborg's main street, stocked entirely with books from Danish presses that print a few hundred copies at a time.

Allan Lillelund Andersen runs his own micro-publisher Silkefyret out of the same room, doubling it as office and shop. It's only open three afternoons a week plus the first Saturday of the month, with author readings and a Thursday bar.

Good to know

• Open Wednesday to Friday 13:30–17:00 plus the first Saturday of each month.
• Thursday evenings there is a bar in the shop.
