Chef Henrik Pihlkjær's daily-changing kitchen on Mejlgade
Chef Henrik Pihlkjær opened Guldværket on Mejlgade in 2025 and treats it as a playground rather than a fixed concept. Daily specials rotate alongside a handful of standing classics: oysters, fish and chips, mussels, kept on the menu because they sell, not out of habit.
Prices stay lower than the address might suggest. The restaurant sits in the Latin Quarter, a few doors from domestic's Michelin-starred kitchen, which makes it a regular stop for a casual weeknight dinner rather than an occasion meal.

I'm always suspicious when a restaurant has a 5.0 rating and less than 10 people have reviewed it, but I decided to try Guldverket. I'm glad I did! My turbot soup was delicious with a large piece of fish and yummy bread. A good Pinot Grigio to go with it and all for well under 200kr, with friendly service in addition. I can only recommend it!
