Two sisters' bakery in Plaza Verumn, light on the sugar

The bread here comes out of the oven soft inside with a proper crust, and the pastries carry noticeably less sugar than most bakeries in town bother with. Two sisters run the ovens fresh every day in Plaza Verumn, in the El Almendro neighborhood. Locals call it Mezclar y Morder.

The passion fruit drink built to taste like dessert has become something of a signature order alongside the daily bread.

We came to las terrenas for a beautiful weekend to celebrate a friends birthday and Mezlar y Morder came through with the cake! Our friend loves key lime pie so we asked if they would sell us their Lime Carlotta whole and they did. It was a HIT!! It was so good that we even had the left over the next day after breakfast - we didn’t want to leave any of it behind. Thank you Mezclar y Morder!!
