Rooftop cocktails and ocean views above La Quadra

Luuma sits on the top floor of Plaza La Quadra, right next to the bowling alley, with an ocean view that used to be reserved for hotel restaurants. Paul Zambrano runs the floor like Manta's answer to a proper big-city rooftop: author-driven plates, cocktails built around local citrus, and a DJ most weekend nights.

The terrace fills up fast on Fridays, so book a table by the rail instead of walking in. It's one of the few spots on La Quadra's restaurant row still open past midnight Thursday through Saturday, when most of the plaza's kitchens have closed.
