Cocktails where Strawanza used to pour beer

SchAr took the old Strawanza spot on Obere Königstraße and turned it into something quieter. Cocktails and music now lead, not draft beer, and the room feels calmer than its predecessor ever did.

It opens at five on weekdays and runs past midnight on weekends, which puts it squarely in Bamberg's newer crop of drink-focused bars rather than the beer-hall crowd next door.

We were there on Saturday, the bar was very pleasant and perfect for relaxed conversation. The fantastic cocktails deserve special mention; both the alcoholic and the wide variety of non-alcoholic options were excellent. Overall, a highly recommended place for a great evening. Definitely worth a visit!
