A mid-century room built around Luis Buñuel, smoking allowed

Torsten Frehse and Sylvia Müller, who run independent film distributor Neue Visionen, built Bar Buñuel around their namesake director: velvet chairs, green leather, herringbone parquet, the kind of room a mid-century filmmaker would have recognised. Cocktails and long drinks carry the theme without spelling it out too hard.

It's a smoking bar, one of the few left, open daily until 2am.

Cool spot to grab a drink before dinner or come back once the bar is buzzing. Nice selection of cocktails and wine. Oh and it’s OK to have a cigarette or cigar as well or not. 🍸

Advertisement on opening times is far from accurate- true to visit the place early evening and late night (within advertised opening times) and doors were closed / lights off/ got turned away . Looking forward to visiting
