Das kleine Holländische
★ 4.8 · 46 reviews Potsdam Opened February 2025
A real Dutch café and shop in Potsdam's Dutch Quarter, run by Isabel Kranke.
Isabel Kranke, a longtime resident of the neighborhood and a gastro consultant by trade, opened this café on Hebbelstraße in early 2025 wanting it to feel genuinely Dutch rather than themed. The kitchen turns out fresh cheesecake and Gouda quiche daily, plus bubble waffles, poffertjes with apple sauce, and hot Chocomel.
Every Wednesday brings an after-work stretch from 5 to 8pm with Aperol Spritz and Dutch snacks.

Very cosy and quiet little spot for coffee and some small yet satisfying bites. The salad came in a glass and definitely hot the spot. Proprietor/staff was incredibly kind and helpful. Ideal for getting away from the crowds and recollecting yourself.

We had a slice of rhubarb cheesecake and a latte. The cheesecake was absolutely delicious, and the latte was great too. Highly recommended. We also got some great tips on what else to see in Potsdam.

I had a few hours to spare in Potsdam and just wanted to stop by for a coffee. It was simply fantastic! The coffee and cheesecake were incredibly delicious, and the staff were super friendly and welcoming. Plus, the atmosphere is very pleasant – perfect for sitting outside and enjoying the time. 10/10, highly recommended – I'll definitely be back!

Small but perfectly formed, cozy. The friendly staff gave us excellent advice, and we enjoyed both savory and sweet dishes, both of which were delicious. I personally loved the small selection of toppings, as it encouraged us to try something new. (I hadn't expected the apple sauce and vanilla sauce combination with pancakes to taste so good; I'd only ever had other combinations before 👍)

At the end of February, we took refuge from a cold hailstorm in this small, family-run, and cozy café. The cappuccino and selection of cakes were delicious. We'll definitely be back!
