Wine and coffee in a 1739 townhouse on Dortustraße
Dortu17 sits in a townhouse built in 1739 during Potsdam's baroque expansion. From the mid-19th century until the early 1930s, it belonged to a Jewish family.
The wine bistro and café pours a rotating list by the glass, with a small food menu, in the historic city center, a short walk from Brandenburger Straße.

Nice atmosphere and lots of wines to choose from. The food was okayish... Olive oil and walnuts were pretty tasteless, pasta was missing salt, combination of wild garlic, tomatoes and walnuts seemed random.

Nice and cosy place to eat typical German food. We enjoyed the fish soup (tagsoup) and the quiche and some sausages. The ambient was calm and really welcoming. Waiters were also nice and friendly with our lack of German.

Everything was perfect. Visiting Dortu17 is warm and happy memory of Postdam. I would have been a royal customer if I had lived nearby. Dankeschön.

The place is super cozy, my spaghetti carbonara Süd Tirol Style was splendid, and the service was basically the best I've seen in Germany ever since I came to live here 9 years ago. I highly recommend this place.

Incredible service (for humans and caninies alike--A couple with a dog sat down next to me outside and the waiter promptly brought him a water dish to enjoy while his humans sipped wine,) amazing wine selection, and a great atmosphere on Saturday night with various street musicians providing ambiance.
