Grandma's German cooking inside Günther Jauch's lakeside villa

Gabriele Höft, who has run the Tomasa restaurant group for decades, opened Höfts inside Villa Kellermann on January 1, 2025. It's the first restaurant in TV host Günther Jauch's lakeside villa since star chef Tim Raue's fine-dining project closed in mid-2024.

Raue chased Michelin stars here. Höft goes the other way, cooking from her grandmother's recipes in rooms that look out over the Heiliger See.

The concept behind Höfts appealed to us immediately: refined cuisine in a relaxed setting. While we appreciate a casual atmosphere, on a Friday evening the overall ambiance felt more informal than we had expected. The food was excellent. Every dish was carefully prepared, beautifully presented, and offered very good value for the quality. Unfortunately, the service did not quite match the standard of the kitchen. Our welcome felt rather reserved than genuinely warm. We were initially served a salad without dressing and received a different appetizer than the one we had ordered. Mistakes can happen, and we appreciated that the espresso was offered on the house as a kind gesture. Overall, we would happily recommend Höfts for its excellent cuisine. With a warmer welcome and slightly more attentive service, the overall dining experience would fully reflect the high quality of the food.

We had a big group of 30 folks Dine and the Restaurant was amazing at taking care of every single person, everyone felt seen and enjoyed the stunning view of the Lake. The Drink and Food Service was quick and tasted amazing! Thank you on behalf of all of us!!
