Skip the polished hotel bars a few hundred metres away. Pony Club sits on the Ilisia/Kaisariani border with a wine-leaning cocktail list, small Greek plates and a music policy that's alternative and loud.

Alexandrou here is mostly residential, so the crowd is neighbourhood regulars and students drifting down from the university. Early evening is calm. After midnight, it isn't.

"Excellent experience from start to finish! The food was really well prepared, with very nice flavors and quality ingredients. The dishes came quickly and were all delicious. The cocktails were some of the best I've ever tried, very balanced and with special combinations. The staff was polite and helpful, while the atmosphere of the restaurant was ideal for either a relaxed drink or a night out with friends. I will definitely visit again!"

Modern, fresh, with a very beautiful design. Classic recipes executed perfectly, but also new ideas worth trying, with proper service and most importantly, with a smile. Exactly how I like a shop to become my hangout. I've already been twice, and I'll probably be at those tables outside often this summer.
