A shipwreck built into the mango trees

Treetanic grows out of the mango trees on the Jade Seahorse property, pieced together over years by artist Neil Keller from glass, marble and ceramic tile. It's shaped loosely like a sinking ship, hence the name, with walkways strung between the trunks connecting the whole thing.

There's no standard bar schedule here. It runs on house music nights and full moon parties, and Utila's nightlife guides rank it above almost anywhere else on the island.

Good to know

  • House music nights and full moon parties are the busiest, check Jade Seahorse's Instagram for the schedule.
  • It's part of a larger property, worth wandering the mosaic gardens before or after a drink.

Closed unless there's a special event: Once a month Full Moon Party or IDC party. Check with Steve at Alton's dive shop for info. *Watch your step! Gorgeous functional art like this can be tricky.

It's not really a bar anymore, but you can pay a small fee and look around at all the artist's creation. They also have apartments bas part of the premises that you can rent (4 day minimum, around $55 USD per night).

AMAZING! The party nights are heaps of fun with the dj but the venue itself is really cool. Take the time to wander through day or night!

This place is one of the most unique bare I've ever been to. Don't miss it. Come even just to look around, you don't need to buy a drink, just a small donation is all they ask for.

This is one of the best bars I've been to, the Full Moon parties are really fun. What I liked the most is that the place is really big and there are a lot of passages that you can go through and it is full with mosaic sculptures. I recommend the place 100% the only bad thing about it is that parties are not every day lol.
