Cord's new Chhatarpur store puts its clothes next to other labels, art and objects

Ten years after opening its first shop in Meherchand Market, Cord tried something looser: a concept store on the ground floor of D-56, 100 Feet Road, Chhatarpur. Its own clothing shares the floor with other labels, plus art and objects picked up along the way.

Sector Form, a studio known for pairing traditional craft with contemporary rooms, built it as a string of separate rooms rather than one big floor. Travel and nostalgia run through the fit-out without tipping into theme-park territory. Cord still runs Khan Market, Mumbai and Hyderabad stores, but Chhatarpur is where the whole idea comes together.

Open seven days, 11am to 8pm.
The smaller original Cord shop in Meherchand Market is still trading if you want the core line only.
