School uniform tailoring, rebuilt for grown women

Pleats, collars, utility pockets, the whole vocabulary of a school uniform, reworked into clothes women actually wear to work. Notebook has sold through other retailers and online for years, but this is its first standalone shop.

Studio Dashline built the 550 square foot room around a single sculpted rhombus that doubles as the display table. Everything else stays stripped back, so the racks of separates do the talking. Shoes and vegan leather accessories sit alongside a range that's grown well past the original small capsule.

Good to know

• It is a small room upstairs in Alley 1 - easy to walk past if you are not looking for it.
• The label also makes shoes, which are worth trying on in person for fit.
