One cake studio, now a triple-height Colaba playground

The cake studio that made its name in Hyderabad now fills a triple-height space on Colaba's 2nd Pasta Lane, all exposed brick and daylight courtesy of Essajees Atelier. Seating is generous, which is rare for this part of Mumbai.

Mornings mean eggs, pancakes and smoothie bowls at the pastry counter. Afternoons bring pizzas, salads and DIY pastas. By evening it's cocktails and dessert, with matcha, ube and the made-to-order cakes that started it all.
