A zero-waste izakaya grilling rare cuts over binchotan

Junsei opened in 2026 as a Japanese izakaya built around a zero-waste philosophy, grilling yakitori over binchotan charcoal and using cuts of the bird that most restaurants throw out. It landed the same year as Kaiju in Canggu, part of a small wave of yakitori-focused openings across Bali.

Sanur sits off the main circuit compared to its Canggu counterparts, so the room has stayed quieter even as its reputation grows.
