Named after a camel street, open past midnight every night

Camell's name plays on Jalan Onta Lama, onta being Indonesian for camel, and it opened right there on June 19, 2025. The soft launch turned into a following on Instagram within weeks.

The layout splits into three zones under the tagline "work, celebrate, connect": quiet corners for laptops, open tables for catching up, and a section built for bigger groups. Hours run until midnight every night, Friday through Sunday and weekdays too, unusually late for a Makassar spot outside the sky-lounge scene. Group bookings go through the cafe's phone line.

  The place is spacious, clean, and very cozy. They even have a smoking room! ​The service here is top-notch. I remember wanting to move from the first floor to the upstairs area, and the staff actually escorted me there. I also asked for a plastic bag to wrap a birthday cake I brought from outside, and they were happy to help. Excellent hospitality! ​Just a small note: the 'Tahu Cabe Garam' I ordered was a bit too salty, but it was still tasty nonetheless.
