Layers & Crema opened on Jalan Landak Baru on November 25, 2025 under the L&C Boulangerie name, with a pastry case running past 120 items, all halal certified and made without preservatives. Most new Makassar cafes start small and grow the menu later. This one skipped that step.

The cafe runs 7am to midnight, catching both the morning pastry rush and a late night coffee crowd. Its Instagram following passed 17,000 within the first weeks, driven mostly by the pastry case rather than the coffee list.
