Coffee on the Tora-san street

Shibamata is the temple town in Katsushika where the old Tora-san films were shot, and it still looks the part: a stone approach lined with dango shops and senbei grills. Cafe JIN sits right on that street.

It's the far north-east corner of Tokyo, forty minutes from the centre, and worth the trip for the street alone. Do Taishakuten temple first, coffee after.
