A shot bar revival on Riga's grandest street

Bibelot brings back the ryumochnaya, the no-frills Eastern European stand-up shot bar, tucked into a small basement at Alberta iela 9 among the city's heaviest Art Nouveau facades. Vodka and house-made infusions come in classic ryumka glasses, with butterbrod open sandwiches for snacking.

Stand, sip, snack, move on. Or stay if the room's mood catches you, and on good nights it does. It's become the stop locals add between dinner in the Quiet Centre and wherever the night actually goes.

This relative newcomer to Riga’s bar scene has quickly become a local favorite and not hard to tell why: wide variety of infused liquors (from berries and fruits, to even horseradish and cumin) and seemingly simple (and nostalgic to people of a certain age like me lol) yet tongue-biting delish dishes ftw! Also - good beer, good wine, and weekly-exclusive plates, e.g. hot dogs or dolmas. Cheers!

Amazing place for home made infusion drinks. You can also get very tasty food as sides. Even better if you go there on one of their collab nights with local spots and chefs!
