Dubai-grade excess: cocktails, hookah, karaoke

Icon wants a corner of Riga to feel like Dubai, and it mostly pulls it off. Plush lounge interior, a cocktail list built for photographs, a hookah terrace and karaoke rooms. Subtle it is not, and it never claimed to be.

It only runs Thursday to Saturday, 19:00 until 5:00, which makes it the late act of an ExPorto night after dinner at Shiyuzu or the Popcorn show. The door leans dress-code-conscious on weekends. As Riga's nightlife drifts north out of the Old Town, this strip is where the money went.
