B'ARN Bistro: inviting and professional kitchen view

B'ARN Bistro

★ 4.9 · 183 reviews Vilnius Opened 2024

Big flavor from Vilnius's smallest kitchen

B'ARN runs its sharing menu out of one of the tightest kitchens in Vilnius, and it doesn't hold the food back. Mexican notes land next to European technique on the same plate, a mix that won it runner up and opening of the year from the 30 geriausių restoranų ranking in 2025.

The Michelin Guide gave it a Bib Gourmand in 2026, the badge for serious cooking at fair prices. It's open four evenings a week, Wednesday to Saturday from 5pm, and you book through Instagram messages.

Such a homey and small restaurant that pays great attention to deal and excellent service. You feel like you’re in someone’s kitchen as the freshest most innovative dishes get placed on your table. Had the scallops, tuna, and eggplant all were fantastic. The churros ended the evening and they were the highlight so fresh and delish!! Get a res and go here!

BARN: An emotional journey into the sublime. It is hard to describe with words what an unforgettable experience it was to dine at BARN. From the moment you step into this cozy restaurant, you feel genuinely welcome and the atmosphere is elegant yet at ease. We ordered six dishes hoping to discover one or more great ones but not here. At BARN, every dish was a positive surprise, fabulous in taste and prepared with perfection similar to Japanese dining. Each dish was novel, creative but at the same time reminiscent of the familiar and homey. To accomplish this juxtaposition - new and at the same time familiar - is a true labor of love by chef Arnas Petronis. I would go as far as to say that the flavors not only impacted our senses but also elicited positive emotions. Chef Petronis was incredibly kind, modest, generous and presented all dishes himself. By the end of our dinner we were in awe. BARN is a sublime place, an experience. It beats michelin-star restaurants we visited. If I could award them a star, I would in an instance.

My friend and I have been on a trip through the Baltics, visiting many Michelin-recommended restaurants and others. This was one of our favorites. The eggplant was a delight. Pico de gallo with peanut labneh felt creative, fun, and delicious. I would go back just for the scallops alone, although the sauce was a bit heavy. The slight spiciness with the leche de tigre was perfect. The roasted beets were a fun take on pink soup. The bone marrow had unexpected truffle which I hate, but was subtle enough to be acceptable for me. The tartare was still delicious and they even offered more bread. It's a small space, but well worth a visit.

What a gem! I was trying to get a table at Barn Bistro for few months for some special occasion and finally I have succeeded! It is very small venue, but how smartly the space has been used. How on earth do they make all these masterpiecec in such small kithchen? 😍 We took scalloos and tartar for the appetizers. OMG tartar was so good, I think I did not left any for my boyfriend. Scallops were also good, but tartar was jy favourite! For the main we took octupus and stroganof. Octupus was delicious, stroganoff was really great, but a bit too salty. :( And the dessert... I think I will be dreaming these churros for the rest of my life. They were so good. Not too sweet, not too much, and mango topping, it was perfectly matched. Highly recommend this place, I for sure will be there for all special occassions now. :)))

A small gem of the old town in Vilnius. The young chef demonstrates creative dishes inspired by Japanese and global ingredients and seasonings encountered during travels. A Bib Gourmand restaurant that lives up to its reputation.
