Bistro n.2

★ 4.6 · 289 reviews Vilnius Opened July 2025

Scandinavia finally gets a table in Vilnius

Vilnius has Italian, Georgian and half of Asia covered. Nobody was cooking Scandinavian until Bistro n.2 showed up on Subačiaus street. The room is as pared back as the plates, and that's the point: Nordic minimalism applied to seasonal local meat, fish, root vegetables and dairy.

The bar pours local craft beer and natural wines. The stripped-back look hides fairly generous cooking. Find it on the quiet upper stretch of Subačiaus, a short climb from the Gates of Dawn and off the main tourist loop.

We had an amazing dinner at this restaurant. We went in a little unsure about the available vegetarian options but ended up finding more than adequate options from the starters, sides and one vegetarian main. The taste, the presentation, the service and the choice of music were all high standard. The burnt cheesecake was also exceptional. We were very impressed with everything and glad we chose this place.

Honestly, Bistro N.2 just keeps delivering. We had a really lovely evening here and I’d recommend it without hesitation. The starters were a great way to kick things off — fresh, well thought out, and the kind of thing that makes you excited for what’s coming next. The roast beef was just brilliant. Perfectly cooked, tender, full of flavour. One of those dishes that’s simple on paper but you can tell a lot of care has gone into it. Then came the beetroot risotto — honestly my highlight of the night. Such a beautiful combination, earthy and creamy at the same time, and executed really well. The kind of dish you’re still thinking about on the way home. And the service was genuinely lovely. Friendly, attentive, never over the top. You feel looked after without feeling like you’re in a stuffy fine dining experience. Michelin star territory for sure. Can’t recommend it enough — go if you get the chance.

The food was unbelievable that I didn’t have time to make any photo of any dish! We had koji waffle and tuna starter, sea bass for the main with baby courgette and potatoes. The best fish I have ever had in Lithuania, smooth and buttery. It is a heaven for lovers of fermented food and great natural wines. Thank you! 🤍

Came for dinner after a few times walking past the restaurant genuinely curious to try and was not disappointed! The choice of dishes and the clear emphasis on quality ingredients was only topped by the great service and care. We were attended by Radvilas who was very knowledgeable and walked us through each dish and made us feel right at home. Highly recommend!

This place is highly recommended. Young and welcoming staff, with good work ethics. Free of charge, they served a little tastingplate with some local marinated vegetables while we waited for our starters. The food is very good. They experiments with new combinations of flavours wich complements each other very well. We ordered the tuna with plum and tomato salad for starter. Very nice seasoning and the roasting of the tuna was perfect. For the main course we both ordered the roastbeef with the beer and cherry sauce and two different sidings, potato & chantarelle and carrot & peach, both were very good. When we were about to leave the waiter had prepared a nice little hot chocolate with a bit of rum and rosemary to keep us warm on the walk back to the hotel. ačiū - and we will come back next time visiting Vilnius🙏
