Basque grill cooking lands in Lithuania

Order like it's a pintxos bar: small plates for the table, grill classics, and don't skip the caramelised octopus with peppers and smoked paprika. It's the dish everyone mentions first.

Vilnius' first Basque restaurant sits inside the AC Hotel by Marriott on Vasario 16-osios street, in the Šv. Jokūbo quarter between Lukiškės Square and the river. Aged beef entrecôte and cod slow-cooked in olive oil with garlic round out the grill.

Great atmosphere, food is delicious, staff is ultimately friendly and helpful, service is great, the fork and knife were shining clean.

I ordered the sirloin cooked medium-rare, but it arrived well-done. I sent it back, and the second attempt was on the rare side but still unevenly cooked and overly salty. I didn’t eat the first round at all due to it being overcooked, so I can’t say if that was just a fluke. The meat quality itself wasn’t great—there were some tough, chewy parts. On top of that, my side of baby potatoes sat out and got cold while waiting for the steak redo, rather than being kept warm. For the level of dining they aim to present, it felt below expectations. That said, the staff was friendly, so I landed on three stars.

Got the club sandwich and it was delicious. Portions were great and the restaurant itself is very nice - incredible decor and exceptional service. I was staying at the AC Vilnius so this was a very convenient dining option.

We visited this restaurant for the first time. Cozy and modern interior, pleasant waiters! We were immediately greeted and offered to sit down. Basque cuisine. Very interesting experience. The food is exceptional and delicious. I definitely recommend visiting and experiencing it, feeling it and tasting it!

Very average place. It does have a great interior and really great location, but the food was not so good. We have ordered nearly all the menu meals for sharing with friends, but the best was just a fried calamari. Which, lets agree, is not a fine cuisine meal. Spanish visitors would not be so proud about the dishes. The waitress did not seemed to be very involved in service, the helping guys were friendly but in a rush to leave a plate and run (while restaurant was empty). By the way - no spanish beer in spanish restaurant? This could easily be solved I guess.
