Belgian waffles hold court on a street that's wall-to-wall food

Meltz sits at Goalhi 6 on Nirolhu Magu, a street packed with food spots on both sides. Easy to walk past the door twice before you spot it. It's part of a small local chain that also runs under the Caramel and Crumble names, but this Hulhumalé branch has both indoor and outdoor seating.

Belgian chocolate waffles are the reason people come, alongside crepes and brownies. The menu keeps going into Indian, Pakistani, Turkish and Italian dishes. There's a small nook inside for anyone who wants out of the street's foot traffic.
