A grand historic café on Republic Street

Café Cordina is Valletta's landmark café, its terrace spread across Republic Street and St. John's Square and its interior hall painted with allegorical ceiling murals. It has been a fixture of the capital's social life for generations.

The counter turns out Maltese pastizzi, cannoli and cakes alongside coffee, and the outdoor tables are prime seats for watching the city pass. It runs as both a quick pastry stop and a sit-down café-restaurant.
