A wine tavern on St. John Street built for sharing plates

Skip the cocktail bars nearby and duck into this narrow, low-lit room for wine by the glass and food that's meant to linger. Maltese and international bottles anchor the list, poured for a couple hours of unhurried drinking rather than a quick round.

Charcuterie boards, local cheeses and a rotating seafood selection are built for sharing, not rushing. It feels closer to a neighbourhood tavern than a bar, which is exactly the point on a street full of the latter.

We LOVED this cute, intimate wine bar! Owners Kelsey and Phillip are charming. They know wine, and they are excited to share Maltese wines with guests. The menu of cheeses, cured meats and bruschetta is perfectly designed to pair with wines. The spirit of hospitality and passion for Maltese wines and foods makes this a DO NOT MISS for anyone who likes wine and food. Their list of wine extends beyond Malta though, for those who prefer wines from other countries. Lovely way to spend an evening!

The most lovely hosts imaginable. A stunning, intimate little venue with a great selection of wines and spirits and a rich history. We just popped in for a glass or two, but regret not staying for more + food. A non-negotiable visit if you're passing through Valletta. Update: we returned the next day and had probably the best bruschetta we had in Malta - outstanding.

I had such a wonderful experience at this wine bar! The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, with just the right mix of music and lighting. We had a lovely experience here. The staff were very attentive and knowledgeable on Maltese wine, cheese and meats. A lovely hidden gem for some wines and a delicious cheese board! Thank you!
