Atsuko is the Japanese room at The St. Regis Le Morne, relaunched on 6 May 2025 alongside the rest of the resort's kitchens. A teppanyaki counter sits at the center, chefs grilling in front of diners instead of sending plates out from behind a wall.

Dinner only, and tables go fast in peak season. The resort takes reservations through its own concierge line, not a public booking system. Order the omakase for the full show; the à la carte menu is smaller than the grill display suggests.

The service was excellent. The atmosphere was lovely, except when they started cooking live, the restaurant smelled of cooking. My order was delicious noodles, two types of sushi (crispy and very tasty, and carvonia, just okay), and sesame chicken (three skewers, not great). The total came to 5775 rupees.

I had a very enjoyable dining experience at this Japanese restaurant. The steak grill was excellent — perfectly cooked, flavorful, and one of the highlights of the evening. The seabass was also delicious, fresh, and very well prepared. The presentation of the dishes was beautiful, colorful, and clearly prepared with care. The atmosphere and overall service were pleasant, attentive, and made the experience enjoyable from start to finish. The only dish that disappointed me slightly was the tempura, which I found a bit tasteless compared to the rest of the food. However, what truly stood out was the professionalism and hospitality of the team. The chef personally came to our table, apologized, and kindly offered a replacement. Later, he also brought us an additional sushi platter as a compliment from the restaurant, which was a very thoughtful gesture and highly appreciated. Later we tried the matcha chocolate cake. I feel compelled to post a positive review for this restaurant to give it its due. We dined there one evening during our stay with my husband and four-year-old son at the teppanyaki table. That evening, our chef was Milan. Not only was the food delicious, but he also put on a wonderful show for the guests. The restaurant is beautiful, and the service is excellent, just like throughout the rest of the hotel.
