Syrian dishes and cocktails from a family of refugee entrepreneurs
A lockdown side hustle making hummus at home grew into founder Bader Dabbagh's first restaurant, Hummus & Habibis, staffed largely by fellow Syrian refugees who found work here after arriving in the city.
The kitchen serves Syrian dishes and creative cocktails daily from noon, with the catering arm that started it all still running alongside the restaurant.

We went for lunch and the food was very tasty and good portions. Everything, except for the veggies dish were amazing. The veggies were too salty for our taste. Because we arrived rather early we had to wait for the hibiscus tea to be ready, but wow, it was so worth! Highly recommended.

If you are looking for an amazing Syrian food this is your place! We asked to the waitress about what she recommends to us and definitely worth it. Good service and amazing food. We will be back.

We got the lunch deal (22 per person)and it was amazing value. Food was delicious, portions generous. Interior decoration and lighting were lovely. HIGHLY recommend

This was my favourite food stop I visited when visiting Amsterdam- the atmosphere was perfect for a wine and chat with friends, the servers were so friendly and helpful with our order and the food was absolutely delicious! I am 100% revisiting on my next trip! 🌿🩵🧆🍽️🍶

I found out about this restaurant via a video on instagram and was desperate to try! I wouldn’t have otherwise stumbled across it, so very grateful for this video. Such a cosy and authentic vibe as soon as you walk in. Their story and mission is so inspiring and makes the experience that bit more special. The service was fab, they were so busy but remained very attentive. The food was incredible, so may flavours and big portions. We couldn’t finish it all so they gave us a box to take it home. We will deffo return!!
