Vinyl bistro with a Hungarian accent at the far end of the Overtoom
Records first, then dinner. Overtone calls itself a vinyl bistro, and the turntable is as much a part of the room as the kitchen. The food carries a light Hungarian accent, rare enough in Amsterdam to be a reason on its own.
It's set up in the old Inbread space at Overtoom 503, the calmer end of the street near Rembrandtpark, where the Overtoom stops being a thoroughfare and starts being a neighbourhood. Good for a slow midweek evening.

This place is delish! Walked in with my Slovak boyfriend and he was obsessed with how homemade the dishes all taste! Great for drinks/dinner/date night

Came here for Overtone Musicfest and was so blown away by the musical talent on display, the cozy and lively atmosphere, and the delicious food. The veggie burger with grilled goats cheese was fresh and summery, and the service was wonderful.

Had a really nice meal at this place - the chicken schnitzel was prepared to perfection. The cocktails were also very tasty, and we enjoyed the vibe and the chat with friendly owners. Would recommend!

Excellent Hungarian food paired with Hungarian wine selection. Every dish was super tasty and beautifully presented. Both the owner and chef are Hungarian, which really comes through in the quality and character of the cuisine. The atmosphere is equally enjoyable, with great music adding to the overall experience. Highly recommended.
